The basalt rock of Gurid mine is not porous.compared to most of the other basalt rocks,it has a higher mechanical strength,and the least possible water absorption.

its stiffness is higher than other common decorative stones , such as marble, rubble.shale,travertine, and even granite.hence , compared to similar rocks, its abrasion resistance is higher and its scratchability is lower.
